Relationships

Having written about single men and single women, I must also write something on " Relationships "

Interestingly, "Relationships" is perhaps the most complex part of human life. How to relate to others, problems, situations, job, nature, etc etc is a continued challenge. But here I will write only on Man Women relationships and perhaps someday on other relationships. As I have written earlier on "Optimum" the child development code, I would write someday the " Relationships "as another important vaccine to be given to a child in his formative years.

To understand relationships one has to first understand the basic nature of man in context of bonding with women and same for women. And also has to be studied as how nature in its splendour has other living species bonding male to female.

Men relate to women as mother,sister, friend, lover, acquintance and wife. Women in a similar reciprocal fashion. But each of this relationship is vivid and interesting.

As a mother, women actually tries to design a male child as per her dreams of an ideal man and slowly resigns to see him slipping away to have his own identity. Mothers , oedipus complex is much stronger then the mans oedipus complex. She does not easily tolerate the women or girl later connecting to her child as a wife. This tacit feeling is seen more subtly and often strongly as continued interference in the life of her son. This umblical cord with her son never disconnects, though with her female child, there are no such issues. Men are therefore seen as Mama`s boy.

The relationship with sister is more fair and balanced. Does not really interfere with man, till the sister is bossy.

Relationship of Man and Women as friend is most interesting and juicy. Men interest and women`s interest are so much poles apart that to find a common ground of meeting is a very remote chance. But then nature from the teen age gets the magnets active to the opposite sexes and inevitably male and female continously strive to find their completeness in the opposite sex.

Interestingly, it is this force of nature, which then needs the two to unite and propogate. what starts as courtship and moves to honeymoon and marriage, very seldom becomes the better half of one another.

Love relationship explodes into conflicts, this is inevitable. Friendship is tasted more sparingly, without the need of commotion and purgings.

However, friendship demands honesty, the only demand but difficult.

Relationships are little like a journey. How far it takes you is your destiny. I would say, relationship is an extremely important social science, which needs to be taught chapter by chapter from early childhood and not just left over to a person to capture it with time.

It is strange that only and only when one of the two fully submits himself/herself to the other person, the relationship goes well. I dont know, why is this master-slave relationship, which only works out.

A chinese friend of mine, once told me something very nice. Man`s relationship with women is of three types : One of Man and Wife, another of man and lover and the last is that of man and friend. When I look back, I see, he is not wrong.

The best relationships are still seen in Man and his daughter.

Single Women

My last post was on the Joy of Being Single , but when it comes to women, somehow it is not Joy, but a social stigma.

More and More women across the world fail to find the right partner and are single more by way of compulsion, rather then by choice.

Japan, Korea, Singapore, US, Europe, India and almost each country, women are finding it difficult to get the right man for their life. Irony is that, most of these women do not consider single hood as source of joy and happiness and are constantly bugged by friends and family on having lost out in life.

While for a Man, to be single is not a very big issue, however, for a women, biology plays a very active roll. Child Bearing is a very strong emotion in a women and with single status, the women constantly looses out her energy enduring the situation.

Society needs to now redefine that single women have the right of bearing child and the child should be recognized same as any other child. Legal rights and religious issues should be all encompassing.

There are enough means available now for women to conceive with or without man. It is upto them to take the bold step and have a piece of their blood and flesh around them.

In Japan, where most single women own a cute dog, should now think of owning their own child along with the dog.

The other irony is that some of these women miss on the ultimate pleasure of love, in copulation. As a Hand Reader, I have seen hands of thousands of single women, who had only one query - " When would they get Married " and after the session, would confess that they had nothing to be ashamed about ( Read still virgin ) though they were now around 42 and I could only pity them.

Sex is not just a source of love and feeling, it is also a natural craving of human body to find comfort in its ultimate. The mind bubbles forth with a noble madness and with clasped hands and clutched fingers nourishes the ancient hunger.

These sex starved women, have inherent personality defects and even if they do get married at late age, they would never be able to bring about a happy family.

Women against men has far more erogenous zones and each of these zone livens up and demands its sensation, however, is forced subdued with Moral Thought and social values. The body then reacts back and psychologically dampens the person.

Japan has become the first country, where women can actually buy a man for short time and talk intimately. Not necessarily connect physically, yet for this small window, she steps out from her world of loneliness and gets some reprieve. Most other countries need to learn the same, that single women has her own right of defraying her blocked emotions and channels of connectivity need to be opened up liberally. Internet though has opened up social fronts , but are extremely notorious.

Women is not the same in 21st century, she is far more educated, independent, strong, bold yet sensitive , career oriented and all this takes away much of nubelity , leaving her out of the age of marital connect. Unless and until men accept middle aged women as their potential better half, the situation for women is challenging. She needs to find her own space and liven up this space. Flirting is a vivid art and a flirt never runs out of currency. It also keeps the dis-connect with emotional rampage. Most single women fail miserably and try more and more to confirm to the social, orderly human then a fun, flirt and free bird.

It is upto the modern women to step out and find joy in its own single hood or live with bourgeois values.

Joy Of Being Single

Being Single Man could be as difficult as a single women never occured to me.

Every one around you is curious to know, what stopped me from getting married and there are many interesting takes on this. Some ask

Did you have a heart break? ( Many, lost count, the last one was yesterday)
Are you a Gay? ( Hmmmmmmm, why not try giving a women to me)
Do you have some physical problem? ( Yes, it is longer then average )
Did you have a Trauma? ( I have one now answering you)

And when it comes to women, the only question is

Don`t you feel lonely? ( Yes, at times )

And I have answered these queries for the last 20 years.

However, most interesting is that when I meet my married friends and I see, how their wife manages their lives, I feel extremely happy of being single.

Then the most private confession of each of the genius is that, the best thing I did was to remain single.

Relationships is an extremely complicated process and I usually jokingly tell my friends that " If each women was allowed one Free Murder, then the first person she would kill would be her husband "

Nothing is more exciting then being single . You then live the life of a Man and a Women. Not unusual that as soon as I leave for my office, my home is raided by the women around in the neighborhood to see, how I keep my house and what I cook and what books I read etc etc. My maid generously allows them in and many of them are ashamed of being nowhere as good as me in either cooking or house keeping.( pictures coming soon in my new blog Ghong-u-lu on Food N Travel )

American Health Bill

If communism was one extreme of sucking out people , then Capitalism is another extreme of human intolerance. Most of the world does not understand , why Republicans have to be against the Subsidy provided to health uninsured people.

If GM can be bailed out with billions of dollars, AIG can be bailed out, Banks can be bailed out, wars can be funded for years and years, then where is the logic, which supports that subsidy on health care is Un American.

Well, that is what is USA. A nation, where on side, people are generous in doling out billions of dollars for health care charity in Africa , but for their own set of under privileged people are reluctant to give away their tax dollar.

As it is Medical science is a failed science, wherein 90% of diseases are incurable and the top of it, if there is a support mechanism, expected from the society, then socially, we are unwilling to share our tax dollars. This is really funny for me.

I don't really need to compare Cuba or Europe or for that matter India, China and many such countries, where the health care is free or highly competitive in cost.

I also find it funny that Bush, vetoed twice the Stem Cells Bill in the name of saving of an unborn , lifeless egg and on the other side giving away the lives of young Americans to fight a war , which was rather not required.

Obama so far has moved rightly , but when it comes to dealing with the world, he is far too soft. I found Bill Clinton as one President, who had this charm and power to lead US to a Position of Strength.

Obama has so far not been able to show the same subtlety, but he still has time, as he has been engrossed with fixing up the economy and health issues etc. Nevertheless, he has done well on all counts within the US.

The real challenge still with US is Chinese undervalued currency, Middle East, Iran, Afghanistan , Climate Change and Terrorism. Which by any measure is not too much on Obama`s Plate.

Iran is almost a solved issue, given its own internal dissent.
China needs US more then US needs China, so, this is much easy, if US really wants to solve the issue.
Middle East, : Neither party is serious in resolving their issues, so just leave it in cold storage and move further.
Afghanistan is taking a good shape
Climate Change needs Carbon Tax.
Terrorism needs a UN anti terrorist force , same like UN peace keeping force. This is an international issue, so all members need to pool in the force. US cannot act as a policeman for all the time. UN has to take over this responsibility.

After this, US is up and running again , unless there are other skeletons falling from the closet and sinking the stock market, US is on its way up.

Food Blogs- Shame to the Five Star Hotels and Top Restaurants

For the life of me, I could not believe my own eyes, the kind of creativity which existed across the globe, when it came to Gastronomy.

Being a connoisseur of food and have traveled far and wide and with a passion to try one and everything which was veggie. I am overwhelmed to see the Gastronomy Adventures on the net.

The writing skills, the recipes, the pictures and the presentations are an example of mankind`s evolution of another color. Visit Tastespotting or Foodblogs or Foodgawker and so many more and one is visiting " Alice in Foodland ".

Food for me is like one of the highest form of Art. Art is something which appeals to the eyes and here is an Art Form, which appeals to the eyes, smell and tongue and finally the soul and at the end is very satisfying, when your body makes the final announcement of " Gahhhhhh"

Now, if you have been a restaurant freak and have enjoyed dining in all chains like Hyatt, JWM, Inter Continental, or Shangrila , then you know, the taste of an Industrial kitchen can never be something which is personalized and cooked leisurely with flavors . For that matter any of the top chefs there cannot match the variety and presentation of Tastespotting.

What is most shameful about fine dining restaurants is that the Menu is Printed Notice Board, where day after day , week after week and year after year, the chef makes the same dishes over and over again, without experimenting to improve or challenge the menu. This is one reason, if you stay at any five star property, you will find the no one dines in the hotel at all. ( Other then some lunch buffets or weekend buffets and that too is sliding off) One of course, other then the room charge, the hotel believes, it is there opportunity to fleeeeeeeeeeece the visitor away. Secondly , the taste is like a standard kitchen output, as if dining at McDonald's.

Why does the hotel or a fine dining restaurant not show innovation. Why on earth it should have a printed menu and why not a chalk board menu which changes as per the freshness of supplies available that day in the local bazaar.

Secondly, why do restaurants not use technology to present the food. All it needs is a LCD screen, which puts in pictures of the food and you while passing have the right to stop the screen and view further and make up your mind to step in. It does not need a menu to be placed outside the restaurant.

If all it takes a hand phone camera and a small computer to make a global presentation of your food on a blog, then the restaurants have failed miserably to spot the opportunity.

Lastly, if you are a chef yourself, then you know, how much fun is cooking .And with so much of variety thrown in to challenge you, one life is already booked trying all the recipes. For me Sunday is the cooking day and it starts with early walk to the street market, where the village fresh is allowed to be sold in the street market. Fun starts with wetting your fingers with the dew drops on the green leaves and flirting with the vendor girls and negotiating silly prices.

My maid has now become an expert on Indian, Japanese , Italian o and some Middle Eastern Veggie food with all my experimentation.

Food Blogs is a whole new world of ancient art of cooking, which got passed from grand mothers to daughters and is getting carried down. I am also looking further, some day, people will start posting on the ancient medical knowledge which got passed down in the same way. One of my friends mother came out of cancer, as the herbal doctor had a secret recipe.

Herbal Medical Recipes are the next big blog revolution, I look forward to and I am sure so much more will come out of one and every country . Rain Forest blessed countries will have the most unusual stories to tell. My own great grand mother could cure a snake bite with a mantra and some herbs and she wanted to teach this to my mother, who refused , as people told her that she would have to suffer, if she interferes with nature. Others would have been more wiser.

Kabir - 21st century Needs You Back

By way of this blog, I am asking each country to immediately have the works of saint Kabir translated into their language and make it mandatory for each child to read his works. This alone will make compelling changes in the way the society shapes itself in the modern conflicts. UN also needs to notice that it is not only ancient heritage buildings and wildlife, which needs attention, but words of wisdom also need to be heritage-d. Modern world needs more wisdom, then more heritage sites.

Kabir is my favorite philosopher of all times. An uneducated saint, who out of simple common sense bought about a revolutionary change in the social pattern of the society. He jettisoned most religious practices and perhaps the first one of his times to challenge the religious books and religious beliefs. Not that the religious fanatics did not exist during his period, but his simple and straight poetry was more of music to the ears of people, then a debate on the religion.

If Kabir would come back and only repeat what he wrote then, he would still run away with a Nobel Peace Prize and Nobel literature price and of course would have been the most loved philosopher .

Kabir said, if God could be praised by worshiping a statue, then I am prepared to worship a mountain of a statue. But, better to worship the home grinder, that feeds the family.

For the Swiss controversy on Minarets, Kabir said in the 15th century, Mullah climbs the Minaret and screams to God, but why does he have to do that, God has not gone deaf anyway.

In Europe, the only country which recognized Kabir is France, whereas most of the world is still ignorant of this great Saint. Whose poetry needs to be recited every single day for all those who find their answers in religion and religious practices.

Japan

While I have never Traveled to Japan, but Japan has always fascinated me/

An example of a very small country which went in to not only take over most of Asia pacific in the second world war, but after being bombed to rubble by the Americans rose to one of the most advanced nations and most prosperous nation in the world.

I will not go into the history of Japan, as wikipedia is better channel for it. But what wiki does not detail is that Japanese considered themselves as the direct race as descendents of “Sun God" And well, if such a thing did exist, then they have actually proved that they are actually the descendents of “Sun God”

On my flight out of Ceylon Airport in SriLanka, I had a Japanese reporter seated next to me and we went talking. The only question I kept repeating to him and he could not answer me successfully was " How is that a country which practically had a "Martial Race", and had conquered China, Korea, Parts of Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc etc had now become so much calm and quiet."

Generally a Martial race is hot headed and war inclined, but Japan is an example, how a full country changed to No War Country and though on account of US dictates, yet it is the people who actually embraced the new constitution. I may have very serious differences with US on the way the Japanese King was bailed out and allowed to continue with his royalty. No matter how much symbolic, but was fully responsible for the War Crimes of First and Second World War. The allied forces made similar blunders with Nazis, where hundreds of Nazi generals got bailed out on flimsy grounds.

Further, it was Japan, who first came up with Suicide Bombers and young men laid their lives for the sake of generals who lectured them to take up such an assignment for the sake of patriotism and be a martyr. Well, I dont see much of a difference between them and the modern suicide bombers glorifying themselves in the name of religion. Both were equally Brain Damaged. When a certain class of people feel threatened, then they find enough reasons to push their young men into death traps and satisfy their own whims and fancies. If only history is correctly written and read, most young men will immediately understand the game being played with them. But till then, more young men would be drawn into martyrdom, whether in Palestine or in Pakistan.

Both Germany and Japan then went into show the world that they had the true genius besides the military errors.

Japan has overtaken Germany many folds on account of small budget on army and also the country with its strong ties with US after the war changed the country.

There is lot to learn from the Japanese. They are the best Lateral Thinkers; though very very slow thinkers and poor managers. Japanese companies are not the best place to make a career, nor it is the best companies to do business, yet they make such reliable products at such nice prices, that they don’t get ignored. Infact, they come to the top, despite all the organizational weaknesses.

Kopenhagen

Copenhagen climate change talks failed, but this is no surprise. it was destined to fail.

First, UN did not do its homework right , second to expect 192 countries to accept something in unison is fools paradise. In a family of 4, it is almost impossible to accept common targets, so, for 192 countries with different vested interest to accept one common goal is dreamlike.

Sometimes, this over enthusiasm of getting the whole world in one place and accepting one single point is like taking One Size Fits All. So, the basic notion itself is wrong. What is good for US is not the best for Brazil and what is good for China is not the best for Sweden. So, why keep pushing all of them to have one size.

Secondly, the answer to this problem is not about individual countries accepting the Temperature rise of 2 deg or 5 deg. But accepting that there are certain industries which are responsible for such a climate change and these industries have to be technologically upgraded to cut the carbon emissions. This needs technology and research. So practically, the forum should short list all such industries, which have carbon emission problems and then take it from there.

Rather, then asking US to cut so much and China to cut so much and smaller countries looking for money from the richer countries in the name of climate change.

The disbursement of payments to any country would be Total Write Off. In the last 60 years , we have already seen that all such payments have finally landed into the pockets of corrupt Politicians and bureaucrats and more of them are now awaiting this God Sent Climate Opportunity.

Next, rather then Carbon Trading, which is again one extremely complicated model of trading thin air , the way forward should be actually Carbon Tax. So all the giant polluting industries will automatically collapse against cleaner technologies.

Obama was very smart to have worked out a deal with one set of countries and made a Text and walked away. At least it is still face saving grace for UN picnic party at Copenhagen. Now the party continues in Mexico next year. Till then most people in the world do not know, what is the meaning of 2deg cut in temperature and the polluting industries will still flourish and the sufferers will be you and me and our children and grand children.

Why did not one World leader get up in this conference and say that for his country, he is stopping the Plastic Bottled Water. Stopping the plastic bags at supermarkets, etc etc. This would have laid the way for other countries to follow. The biggest polluter today is plastics and the carbon emissions in making of the plastics.

There are very small changes required for getting the climate back to normal. However, first, we as individuals should take the first step. I don't buy anymore Plastic Bottled Water. I don't allow supermarkets to pack my grocery in plastic bags. I prefer to peddle my bike to office. Though I own the company. I would take a subway train or local mass transport then take a taxi for work.

Anyway, One Size Fits all will never work out. The basics of Climate Change document itself is wrong. Does not address Technology, does not address Industries causing these problems, does not address the major Individual contributions required., does not address that each day there are some xxxxx new cars are made and sold and there is neither room to run these cars, nor the fuel , nor the space in environment to accept the emissions .Yet no one gets up and says, let us limit the licensing of cars per year or put up huge taxes on cars.

Kopenhagen is a beautiful city, and specially the city square. Denmark also has one of the best environments in the world. Attest the world leaders would have got to see, what it means to have a beautiful environment. I traveled in 1998 with one environmental engineer deep into the country side and explored a few water streams and river . Samples were drawn from these places and checked and what was shocking to see that the purity of the water far better then the normal range.

Danish voluntarily accepted to give away Iceland. Where as most other countries keep fighting for territories, which historically would have not been their part.

Air Asia

Air Travel at one time was novelty. Few would have this luxury to fly and be proud of the flight. How times change and now Air Travel is like taking a Bus, only thing flying Bus and rightly one of the maker calls it AirBus. Now air travel is like a poultry farm in the air, where chickens are stuffed forcefully into the plane and the plane made to fly. More apt would be chickbus.

Air Travel means getting locked with your seat belt on a 2 x 2 ft seat and very restricted foot space. And if on a Transcontinental flight, then the flight is a punishment.

Flight Catering is still worse . A small plate with two spoons of rice, one spoon of one vegetable and one spoon of another vegetable . All of which tastes like rotten egg. And to serve this little food, a full Tamasha ( Show ) is carried out. Well, I gave up eating in the flight some 15 years ago and I would rather carry my own food, if on a long flight. And for short flight, skip the two spoons meal.

Last month, I was travelling to Hong Kong from Singapore by Cathy Pacific and there was a Sardar Ji from India who was sitting in front of my seat. Incidentally all airlines now days employ Indian and local flight attendants, so she served him the Indian Food. Now a two spoons food is not going to be enough for Sardar Ji and he called the girl again and asked for more. The girl said, she would get back and then every 15 mins ,the man called for his food and till the landing of the flight, he was not served his extra request. Simple, because airlines carry limited food supplies and no one can get the extra on request. This is the quality of Airlines.

Anyway, the main post is about Air Asia. This little Budget Airline has impressed me a lot. For those who have not flown Air Asia recently, then they would be impressed to see the new planes and the interiors and the cleanliness. However, most striking is that within minutes of the plane landing, it takes its passengers and on landing, within minutes downloads the pax and the bags.

Air Asia offers prices usually which are one third of most commercial airlines and hence automatically gets its seat full faster then all the other airlines. Secondly, it is online booking , so there is no catch anywhere. Other airlines, it is a good possibility that the next guy seat travelling with you has paid one half of what you have paid. Usually Travel Agent loot.

What is most interesting about Air Asia food is that they have a menu and you can pick up the food you like and order in advance. This is very unique, because now you have the option of taking what you like most , then being on the mercy of the airline to serve you , what you hate most.
Further, if you are a good eater as our Sardar Ji in the last paragraph, then you order two of it.

Airplanes are made by Boeing or Airbus and after that is all about punctuality, safety, promptness and presentation. How does it matter, it is a Budget Airline or dirty old PSU airlines with their aging staff.. One of my client always tells me, why should I fly business class, when the economy class also goes to the same destination. ( Winks )

Overall the Business Model of these young men, who started Air Asia is such a slap on the face of all Giant Public Sector Airlines.

We have seen the big losses of AlItalia, Japan Airlines, Swiss Airlines, Air India, British Airways ,. Who post Multimillion Dollar losses against Air Asia, which works on one third the prices of the conventional airlines and only on account of its smart thinking makes a huge profit.

Will the Governments ever learn, how business is done. How long will we tax payers keep bailing out public sector. How long will these silly Airlines serve the lousiest food and delayed flights and overprices tickets and what not keep sucking us.

Great Job Air Asia. Lots to learn from you.
